A tile is free when nothing sits on any part of it and its left or right side is open. Tap two free tiles that match and both are lifted away. Free tiles glow a little brighter than the rest.
Yes. Each board is built by playing it through first, so a way to clear it always exists. On Easy, where every tile has exactly one twin, no sequence of moves can ever lose.
On Medium and Hard some tiles come in fours, and taking the wrong two can bury the other two. When no pair is left the game offers a free shuffle of the remaining tiles, and the board is winnable again afterwards. Undo also works as far back as you like.
Any two flowers match each other, and any two seasons match each other, even though their pictures differ. That is the traditional rule.
Yes. Character tiles carry a small number in the corner and wind tiles carry a compass letter (E, S, W, N), so you can match them by those alone.
After a short optional video, two tiles that pair up will glow. The pair is chosen so the board stays winnable. You never need it; every board can be finished without it.
Yes. On the home screen, tap "Glow on" to switch it off for a more traditional game.
No. Boards are dealt on your device. Only the ads need a connection, and the game plays fine without them.
On your device only, including a game in progress, which is waiting for you if you close the app. There is no account and no server.
